We ship orders in insulated frozen boxes, with each box typically holding 15–20 lbs of meat. Items are shipped frozen with dry ice to preserve freshness. The dry ice may have fully dissipated by the time you receive your package, which is completely normal. As long as the contents are still cold to the touch, your products remain safe and properly preserved.
According to the FDA, it is safe to refreeze meat as long as it hasn’t been kept at temperatures above 40°F for more than two hours.
To safely dispose of dry ice, leave it inside the original box and allow it to evaporate (sublimate) naturally. Place the box in a well-ventilated area, such as outdoors or in a garage, to prevent the buildup of carbon dioxide gas in enclosed spaces.
Important Safety Tips:

Never touch dry ice with bare hands — it can cause severe frostbite or burns. Always use gloves or tongs.
Do not place dry ice in a sink, toilet, or down a drain — the extreme cold can damage surfaces and plumbing.
